Do More Of What Makes You Happy

The Raptors vs. L.A. Clippers game was an excellent time this past Friday.  I got to watch one of my favorite sports, spend time with family, and had a nice cold beer (or two) as well.  One of the key lessons I learned from 2014 is in the importance of doing things that make you happy.

I have said it many times in my blog posts.  We have one life, and once it is gone that is it.  While we are here, we must enjoy life and live it to the fullest.  Many of us work hard and have a lot of things going on in our lives.  Despite what is going on, we must make it a priority to take some time to do things that make us happy.

Whether its exercising?

Whether it’s travelling?

Whether it’s going to Starbucks and ordering your favorite beverage?

Whether it’s going out and spending time with friends?

Whatever the things that put a smile on your face and makes you happy; do more of it.  The most successful people I know are the happiest of people.  And it’s not just based on their bank accounts.  No matter what their avenue in life is, they always find the time to do things that make them happy.

For myself, I would be considered by many to be very successful.  I have the nice house, car, clothes and lifestyle that many would envy.  However, until last year I wasn’t fully happy.  For a long time I focused so much on being successful, that I forgot one thing:  I already was.  I just needed to remember to not forget on doing the things that make me happy.

I love to do mixed martial arts and CrossFit.

I also love to play my PS4.

I also love writing my blog.

I also love to play and watch sports (NBA, NFL, UFC, boxing)

I also love spending time with the people who I care about.

I also love to travel.

The key message that I would like to say to you is make more time doing things that make you happy and feel alive.  You’ll not only feel better about yourself; you’ll inspire others to do the same as well.

Have a great week everyone!!
