When Wayne Gretzky said this quote, at first he was only referring to his hockey skills. Later on, he also applied this to his life, and has inspired many to go after their goals and dreams.
How many times did you not try to achieve something?
Not asking someone you liked out because you were afraid they would say no?
Not study for that test because you didn’t think you could pass it?
Not quitting that job because you were afraid of not finding another one?
We have all been here. It does hurt when we try to do something and it doesn’t work out in our favor. It hurts even more when we don’t even try to achieve a goal. It’s important that if we want to achieve something, we must go for it and not be afraid of the outcome. We can agree that if you try to achieve something and it doesn’t work out; at least you can say that you tried.
When I get scared of going after something, I refer to this quote by Wayne Gretzky. It’s a great reminder to never be afraid of achieving things that can take you to new heights. Hope this helps you go after your goals and dreams.
Have a great weekend everyone!
