It’s Never Too Late To Be Great!

No matter at what age, we can accomplish anything we put our mind to!

I saw these two pictures online a few days ago, while surfing the Internet for tips on Brazilian Jiu-jitsu.  I also saw a picture of one of my instructor’s students, placing 1st at the IBF World Master Jiu-jitsu championships at the age of 60 years old.  Seeing these pictures was inspirational to myself, and a great reminder that it is never too late to be great.

I have seen a lot of people put limitations on themselves because they are no longer teachers, and that isn’t right or fair for someone to do to themselves.  These gentleman in these pictures are a great inspiration and reminder that we can do anything.  We are seeing more and more people re-invent themselves as they hit the later part of their lives. They’re going back to school, starting martial arts, starting new relationships, opening up businesses; they’re not focused on how old they are.

I am an example of this myself.  Although I am not 98 years old, I have re-invented myself over the last 4 years from both professional and personal perspectives.  I never thought in my 30s that I would have started a new profession, and picked up martial arts once again. I am grateful for making these choices, and have been never happier.

I say it a lot in my blogs.  Life is short, and we need to make the most of it.  Whether you’re 15 years old or 80 years old; don’t be afraid to go after what you want.  Trust me, you’ll feel better for it.

Cheers,
